Pulling Online Orders During Your Shift

Pulling Online Orders During Your Shift

As part of your shift, Guest Services is responsible for ensuring online orders are ready for pickup or shipping. Orders can be managed in two ways: Shopify POS or Shopify Admin.

General Guidelines

  1. The Manager on Duty (MOD) should check for new online orders at the start of their shift and regularly throughout the shift.
  2. When pulling orders, the goal is to prepare items for pickup or shipping, not to fulfill the order in Shopify.

Option 1: Using Shopify POS

  1. Open the Shopify POS app.
  2. Navigate to the Orders section.
  3. Filter or search for Online Orders placed for pickup or shipping.
  4. Select the order.
  5. Print the receipt for reference.
  6. Pull the product(s) from the sales floor or stockroom.
  7. Place the items on the ship desk in the stock room, ready for pickup or shipping.
⚠️ Do not mark the order as fulfilled in Shopify POS. This step is only for reference and preparation.

Option 2: Using Shopify Admin (Preferred)

  1. Open Shopify Admin in a browser.
  2. Go to the Orders section.
  3. Filter or search for Online Orders placed for pickup or shipping.
  4. Select the order.
  5. Print the packing slip.
  6. Pull the product(s) and place them on the ship desk in the stock room.
⚠️ Do not mark the order as fulfilled in Shopify Admin. Printing the packing slip is only for order preparation.

Key Reminders

  1. Always check for new orders throughout your shift, not just at the beginning.
  2. Use the packing slip from Shopify Admin whenever possible.
  3. The MOD should supervise and ensure all online orders are pulled and ready for the appropriate fulfillment method.
