Restocking Belleville Market Brand Merchandise
Keeping our Belleville Market brand merchandise fully stocked is essential to maintaining the look, feel, and guest experience of the store. Missed restocks create extra work for the next shift and leave the sales floor looking incomplete—so it’s important that restocking is done consistently and correctly.
Why Restocking Matters
- Guest Experience: Guests expect shelves to be full and products to be available. Restocks keep the Market looking fresh and dependable.
- Efficiency: Using the report avoids guesswork—ensuring nothing is missed and no time is wasted.
- Teamwork: Restocking during your shift prevents passing extra work to the next team.
- Accountability: Managers and associates both play a role, but the MOD is ultimately responsible.
Responsibilities
- Pull the Restock Report throughout your shift (at least once an hour).
- Ensure all restocks are completed.
- Assign restocking tasks to associates as needed.
- Run a final report after close to restock any last-minute sales.
- During downtime, ask the MOD for the updated restock list.
- Use the Restock Report as your guide—do not restock from memory or by scanning the sales floor.
- Note the time completed and the last sales order restocked. This ensures you (or the next restocker) know where to pick up from.
- If you see overlap (an item already restocked by someone else), simply move on—no duplicates needed.
- If items don’t fit on the shelf, return them to their designated backstock location in the stockroom or assigned storage, rather than placing them randomly on the sales floor.
