Job Description - Guest Services Associate/Key Holder

The Guest Services Associate/Key Holder is responsible for being a brand ambassador for Belleville Market by providing our guests with exceptional retail service. The Guest Services Associate connects with guests in genuine and authentic ways while sharing information about the full Belleville Market experience, including our merchants, products, services, and events. 

As a Key Holder, this position supports the management team in achieving goals and providing World-Class service, while serving as a role model for their fellow Guest Services Associates.

The Guest Services Associate/Key Holder possesses the attention to detail necessary to ensure that the sales floor is fully stocked in a way that represents merchandising standards, knows how to identify guests’ needs, and can help bring them to life. This position works from Belleville Market in Easton, Pennsylvania. It reports to the Guest Experience Manager.

The Guest Services Associate/Key Holder position does require supervisory responsibilities.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

General Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Understand and embody company values in your appearance and service
  2. Greet guests to the store with enthusiasm  
  3. Demonstrate excellent customer care skills including capturing guest information at point of sale, following up with clients regarding promotions, new product arrivals, etc
  4. Drive conversion by telling the stories of products and generating conversation with guests    
  5. Replenish product to the sales floor as needed  
  6. Exhibit awareness of current promotional events and sales  
  7. Learn and use all available technology to perform daily tasks, including Macintosh programs, customer relationship management, and point of sale systems
  8. Work as a team player to ensure each guest receives the best service possible  
  9. Contribute to a high-energy, fast-paced environment  
  10. Promote and maintain a safe working and shopping environment  
  11. Assist operations team with shipping and receiving of goods
  12. Assist operations team in getting products “floor-ready” (labeling, pricing, etc.)
  13. Participate in regular one-on-ones, store events, staff meetings, and inventories as scheduled
  14. Light maintenance and other duties & activities as assigned. This job description is not to be considered all-inclusive

Key Holder/Management Responsibilities
  1. Support management team in achieving goals by providing superior customer service
  2. Assist management in modeling and coaching Guest Services team on routines and disciplines that maximize productivity, achieve selling/service targets, and keep the store a neighborhood destination
  3. Support store's selling, service, event and customer experience efforts to drive traffic & sales, increase conversion, and strengthen brand loyalty
  4. Serve as a role model for Guest Services Associates in sales generation and customer service by making the customer experience the priority
  5. Maintain cash register accountability and adhere to store policies regarding cash handling procedures, including store opening and closing procedures.
  6. Serve as lead opening/closing associate and ensure all necessary duties are completed as such.
REQUIREMENTS  
  1. Be positive, empathetic, honorable, and self-aware
  2. Be dependable, on-time, and able to work within agreed scheduling needs for the store
  3. Strong verbal communication skills, coachable, passion for customer service and delivering an exceptional experience for guests  
  4. Have a working knowledge of Macintosh and Google Workspace products
  5. Possess 2+ years working in a retail environment
  6. Must be available to work weekends, nights, special events, and holidays
  7. Be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds, move easily and safely up and down stairs and ladders, and be on your feet multiple hours per day
  8. Reliable Transportation
